  • Salmon
  • Catfish
  • Tuna
  • Tilapia
---->We have also added to our Black Cat Snacks products cat wine! ------------------->>>>

"Panther"
Black Cat Snacks Mascot

Our one and only black cat was adopted from a local animal shelter ((Marion County Humane Society)) back on February 2nd 2011. He wandered the streets of Fairmont, WV before being picked up by animal control at around 6 months of age. Panther patiently waited nearly 2 years to be adopted! Why did it take so long for this handsome guy to find a home? Simply because he's a black cat.

His time as a stray while he was a kitten left him with scars on the tops of his ears from fights with other tomcats. We came to find that the tip of his tail had been broken at some point and never healed properly. There was speculation that someone had abused him before he was picked up by animal control.

On December 12, 2011, Panther was diagnosed as FeLV (Feline Leukemia) positive and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus aka Feline AIDS) positive. Cats usually will test positive for one virus or the other, but being that he was diagnosed with both, brought down the odds of him living out a long life.

About 1 year ago we found out that Panther had "cleared" the FeLV virus (he tested negative)! Though he will live out the remainder of his life with FIV, we no longer had to worry about any further health complications. We were over the moon kind of excited about this news!

Our Goals:
  • Further public awareness about FeLV & FIV.
  • Encourage adoption of black cats!
